USAA Casualty Automobile Insurance
While United Services Automobile Association (USAA) Casualty is more well known for providing auto insurance, USAA Casualty is also a top-rated homeowners insurance agency.
USAA Casualty homeowners insurance reimburses members when their homes and/or possessions inside the home are damaged, stolen, or ruined. In most states, the agency includes identity theft insurance with this type of policy.
Insurance provided by this agency, and membership in the association, is only available to current and (most) former U.S. military personnel. It is also offered to the children of existing United Services Automobile Association members.
The association and its homeowners insurance division have been rated highly by various agencies and publications. For example, USAA Casualty was rated AAA for “financial strength” in 2008 by Fitch Ratings Ltd (fitchratings.com).
The company web site emphasizes that the association is not owned by stockholders, has existed for many decades, and is very stable financially. It also points out that customers can conveniently obtain a wide range of financial services from a single company.
USAA provides flood, life, boat, RV, business, aircraft, jewelry, and renters insurance as well. It also offers various investment and banking services to its members, such as low-interest credit cards.
