I am very impressed with Travelers. I recently made the first claim I’ve ever had to make when my car was hit badly (while parked) by another driver without insurance. Travelers took care of absolutely everything, no hassles. I didn’t have to pay any deductible AND they got my a rental car even though I hadn’t elected to pay for rental coverage. All along the way I had a very personable, responsive rep working with me to make sure I had everything I needed as quickly as possible. I know this may sound over the top, but I read so many negative reviews on the internet and I suspect very few happy customers bother to post their experiences. I had been taught to be very distrustful of insurance companies, but Travelers really revealed themselves to be an excellent, responsible insurance company.

I switched from Allstate to travelers several years ago after completing a rate comparison using the exact coverage data I had on my Allstate auto policy. Travelers nearly halve the premiums I was paying to Allstate. Signing up was a breeze throught Travelers 800 # and hold time was minimal. The customer service rep was understandable, courteious, had good related knowledge to my questions and processed everything accurately the first time around. I have had the good fortune of no accidents in over 10 years now so I cannot comment on claims, but Travelers did come recommended by some close friends who also are customers and filed claims.

Recently, my truck was in an accident while being test driven by a transmission shop. Their insurance company is Travelers.
So far Travelers has been very friendly, prompt, and professional. Much more so than my own company. The Travelers claim specialist has always been easily available by phone, and has answered all my questions regarding this unusual situation thoroughly.
The day after I contacted Travelers the adjuster contacted me to make an appointment the next day to see the vehicle. He arrived exactly when he said he would, and was very personable. His estimate was filed the next day, enabling me to schedule with a body shop and get a rental car.
I found this site trying to get pricing on switching to Travelers. It’s truly a good indication of the company when they’re awesome even though they have to pay out. I’d certainly highly recommend Travelers Insurance.
